Mirka and Roger started dating at the Summer Olympics.
They would date for nine years before tying the knot in 2009. “Earlier today, in my hometown of Basel, surrounded by a small group of close friends and family, Mirka and I got married. It was a beautiful spring day and an incredibly joyous occasion,” Roger announced at the time.
They now have four children: identical twins Charlene and Myla, born in July 2009, and another set of identical twins, Leo and Lenny, born in May 2014.
“She still plays a huge role and has great input and impact,” Paul Annacone, Federer’s co-coach, told the New York Times in 2012. “She understands the big picture extremely well and does a great job in terms of letting us work but also shares invaluable information. This is a tricky balance. She’s been there since day one, so she knows very well what it takes and how to get there.”
“I think it’s a great help that she actually played,” Roger said of Mirka in that same profile. “I never started dating a tennis player because of that, actually, sort of 10 years ahead. But in my situation, I think it really does help, because she knows in some ways what it takes, and she did it on a level that was still very good but not at my level. And she already put in a massive amount of hours herself. So when I tell her, ‘Look, I need to go to practice,’ she’s the first to say, ‘I know, I know you need it, and you need only maybe 20 percent of what I needed.'”
When Roger Federer announced his retirement in September 2022, he specifically thanked Mirka, saying, “She has warmed me up before finals, watched countless matches even while over 8-months pregnant and has endured my goofy side on the road with my team for over 20 year.”
Sources told TMZ Wednesday that Mirka confronted husband Roger Federer last week over rumors that he had cheated on him.
While it’s unclear whether there is any validity to the claims, it allegedly resulted in a massive argument between the two.
“It’s only a matter of time before Mirka files for divorce,” one of the insiders told TMZ.
As we previously reported, Roger won’t get much — if anything — from the wife if their marriage ends in divorce.
Reps for Mirka, 46, did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The news comes just a few months after the pair celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary amid rumors that there was trouble in paradise.
In December 2023, TMZ released a documentary about Roger Federer life, in which they alleged that the pair’s marriage was already in “deep trouble.”
The outlet further claimed the “Sometimes” She has gotten physical with his husband during screaming matches and that he no longer spends much time at their house
“I found it absolutely disgusting for the people who were in his life when She didn’t have a voice, they went and told him story like it was theirs,” Mirka Federer began in a video posted to her Instagram Story.
