Iga Świątek’s WTA ranking has dropped following her third-round exit at the 2025 Italian Open in Rome. She was defeated by American Danielle Collins in straight sets, 6–1, 7–5, ending her title defense and marking her earliest exit from a WTA 1000 event since 2021.
This loss has significant implications for Świątek’s ranking. She was defending 1,000 points from her 2024 victory in Rome but managed to retain only 65 points, resulting in a net loss of 935 points. Consequently, she is projected to fall from world No. 2 to No. 4 in the WTA rankings, her lowest position since early 2022.
Świątek’s recent form has been underwhelming.
