During the 38-20 Win, David Bakhtiari was seen viciously taunting Bears supporters.
It’s an old story. Or at least, a story that dates back to Matt LaFleur’s first day leading the Green Bay Packers.
The Packers are now 9-0 against their earliest rivals since 2019, with their most recent victory coming in Week One with a 38-20 victory.
Of course, the Packers’ victory was significant. Jordan Love finished the day 15/27 for 245 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions in his first game as the starting quarterback after taking over after Aaron Rodgers, a four-time NFL MVP, was traded to the New York Jets.
It certainly appears that Rodgers’ famous declaration to jeering Bears fans, “I still own you!” has been passed on to his successor.
David Bakhtiari, an old friend of Rodgers, appears to have inherited the quarterback’s vicious taunts directed at Bears supporters.
Bakhtiari, a three-time Pro Bowler and two-time First Team All-Pro, was as good as he’s ever been despite not practicing for two weeks prior to the game.
He allowed zero pressures.
He was having a good time on the field as well, and he was repeatedly seen on camera completely teasing Chicago fans in the stands.
Following Quay Walker’s pick six, 97.3 The Game’s Hunter Baumgardt took these pictures of Bakhtiari.
Head coach Matt LaFleur can be seen entering the field to drag Bakhtiari off of it, indicating that this must have continued for a little too long.
Several spectators gave Bakhtiari the traditional one-finger salute following Romeo Doubs’ second touchdown.

Bakhtiari reportedly said to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic that the only way he can characterize that celebration is as a “Yeet-gasm.”.

Going into the season, there was a lot of unfounded speculation that Bakhtiari was unhappy, wanted to be traded, or was injured to the point where he was ineffective.
So against the Bears, he disproved all of those absurd theories.
Jordan Love’s blindside is covered, he’s enjoying himself, and he’s embraced his new teammates.
There is nothing he could have given more of today.
He could make the Pro Bowl once more and be selected to another All-Pro team if he continues to play at this caliber.
