The Green Bay Packers elevated their roster on Saturday, raising questions about the availability of star running back Aaron Jones in Week 2’s matchup with the Atlanta Falcons.
In the Packers’ victory over the Chicago Bears in Week 1, Jones sustained a hamstring injury. He missed all three of this week’s practices.
In their injury report for their game against the Falcons on Friday, the Packers listed him as questionable.
Patrick Taylor is a step up for the Green Bay Packers.
The Packers reportedly elevated running back Patrick Taylor so that he would be qualified for Sunday’s active roster, per a statement released by the team on Saturday.
In case Jones is unable to play against the Falcons, it seems like the Packers are taking safety measures.
It’s important to note that Jones has not yet been declared ineligible for the match.
Taylor may also be benched by the Packers on Sunday.
Taylor’s promotion on Saturday, however, doesn’t seem to bode well for Jones’ position in Week 2.
