This season’s trade deadline could see some activity by the Green Bay Packers.
Through four games, it has become obvious that the Packers may require some weapons and/or defensive reinforcements to turn things around.
The defensive unit has been impacted more by the defensive coordinator’s position and a rash of injuries than by any on-field talent, it is fair to say.

The Chicago Bears seem to be another team that might make a move at the trade deadline.
Their decision appears to be to part ways with one of their own players, though.

WR Chase Claypool has been placed on the trade market by Green Bay Packers’ NFC North rival Chicago Bears.

According to Jordan Schultz of NFL Insider, the Chicago Bears are reportedly actively looking to trade wide receiver Chase Claypool.
According to sources, Bears general manager Ryan Poles has been ”

calling teams he believes are interested in acquiring a receiver” and demanding a “fifth or sixth-round pick.

Claypool was acquired by the Chicago Bears in exchange for a valuable draft pick.
People at the time generally regarded it as a wise decision. In the end, it was a high price to pay for a player who wanted a change of scenery, but now Poles is attempting to persuade teams that Claypool only needs a change after his disappointing experience in Chicago.

After a drama-filled offseason, some impressive performances during training camp, a lackluster showing in the Bears’ week one game, and criticism of his position in the offense on Friday, he was today’s healthy scratch against the Patriots.
the Broncos from Denver.

The Packers came close to trading for Claypool in the off-season.
It appears that the team made a good “miss” there.
