On Monday, the Green Bay Packers ran trials with two running backs. The Packers had to exclude Aaron Jones from practice the day before due to a hamstring injury.

For the Packers’ offense, Jones’ absence was apparent.
In their matchup with the Falcons, the Packers only managed 84 yards of total running.
Since the Packers did not put Jones on injured reserve prior to the game, one would not anticipate Jones missing many more contests.

But the team wants to add depth.

In light of Aaron Jones’ injury, the Green Bay Packers try out two running backs.

The Packers worked out Ellis Merriweather and Jerrion Ealy, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC.

Ealy, a UDFA, represented the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2017 Super Bowl as a player.
He was a practice squad member for the majority of the season.
In August, the Chiefs cut ties with Ealy.
