Both the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers are in the midst of what many supporters refer to as “figure it out” years.
Both the Packers and the Steelers are attempting to determine whether Jordan Love is the quarterback of the future for their respective teams in Green Bay.
Both teams’ quarterbacks are surrounded by young, exciting players like Christian Watson and George Pickens.
Perhaps the teams would be open to trading some of the other tools they have available?
An NFL analyst says the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers might switch running backs.
NFL Analysis Network’s Robert Marvi provided the following examples of how it might develop.
Before the Oct.
1 deadline, according to FanSided’s Austin Krueger, they should take at least one action.
He believes that running back Aaron Jones may have to leave for the benefit of their future in order to meet the March 31 deadline and to build for the future.
Trading Jones would be a heartbreaking choice for the team, according to Krueger, who called Jones “a leader in the Packers’ locker room and a fan favorite in Green Bay.”.

Despite having a hamstring injury, Jones has only made 14 attempts to rush the ball in 2023.
While he has been away, the backups have not impressed, raising questions about AJ Dillon’s future.
“Teams looking to upgrade their running back to strengthen a playoff push may benefit from a lower price on Jones as a result of injury concerns.

Over the past few years, Jones has emerged as one of Green Bay’s most potent and dependable offensive threats. He had 1,121 yards of rushing last year, and in 2019 he had 16 rushing touchdowns, which led the NFL.
In the four seasons prior to this one, he also had dual-threat running back stats of 207 catches, 1,615 receiving yards, and 16 receiving touchdowns.
He is about to turn 29, which also means he is about to turn 30, the age at which running backs typically see a sharp decline in performance.
The Packers may be able to maximize their return on him at this time.
A decent return might include, at the very least, a mid-round draft pick and a backup or third-string running back.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Rachaad White or even the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Najee Harris, according to Krueger, might be available if the Packers offer a draft pick of their own as a carrot.
Harris would be a good addition because he has over 1,000 yards of rushing in both of his prior NFL seasons and was selected to the Pro Bowl as a rookie in 2021.
Would the Green Bay Packers ever consider trading Aaron Jones?
When Aaron Jones receives at least 15 touches throughout a game, the Packers have a record of 32-8. That kind of statistic demonstrates how crucial Jones is to this team and is shocking at the same time. Jones initially gives off the impression of being one of the Packers team’s “untouchable” players in the event of a trade.
The off-season of 2024 will need to be used to find the answers to many questions. Jones, who turns 30 in December, is currently obligated to his current team through the 2024 campaign. His 2024 cap hit will be greater than $17 million.
It is unlikely that the Packers would receive sufficient compensation in exchange for Jones to justify a trade, given his advancing age and upcoming cap hit.
