Following Colorado’s defeat by Stanford on Friday night, a post from Shedeur Sanders’ Instagram account quickly gained popularity online.
At Folsom Field in Boulder, Colorado, the Buffaloes led the Cardinal by a commanding 29-0 at the half.
During the halftime break, an Instagram story post from the Colorado quarterback was seen by viewers. The message promoted a link where readers could purchase his goods.
Stanford, however, rallied in the second half to win in double overtime with a comeback score of 46-43.
Following the outcome, it was understandable that the Instagram post received online mockery.
Sanders’ Instagram account, which has more than 1.7 million followers, probably has a manager who assists him in keeping it up-to-date. It seems unlikely that Sanders took the trouble to write the post on his phone while watching a football game.
However, it’s probably a position that was better left in the drafts until Colorado actually took the win.
After the game, Colorado head coach Deion Sanders issued a challenge to his team in response to the shocking defeat.
The younger Sanders finished with a respectable stat line of 400 passing yards and 5 touchdowns.
The Buffaloes were defeated in double overtime, though, thanks to the Colorado quarterback’s lone interception.
