Rashan Gary Cleared to Play Despite Practice Injury

By | November 19, 2023

Green Bay Packers’ edge rusher Rashan Gary sustained an elbow injury during Friday’s practice, described by Head Coach Matt LaFleur as a “little mishap.” Despite being listed as questionable, Gary is set to be part of the lineup against the Chargers on Sunday.

LaFleur expressed confidence in Gary’s availability, stating that the injury wasn’t a major concern. Gary’s presence will be crucial as the Packers aim to apply pressure on Chargers’ quarterback Justin Herbert.

Linebacker Quay Walker, who was questionable due to a groin injury, is also slated to play. Walker’s return adds depth to the defense after being sidelined in the previous game against the Steelers.

However, the Packers will be without cornerback Jaire Alexander, who continues to recover from a shoulder injury. Alexander’s absence for the second consecutive game could impact the team’s defensive strategy.

As the Packers face the Chargers, the status of key players like Gary and Walker will play a significant role in determining the defensive dynamics on the field.
