Prince William and Kate Middleton have decided to focus on spending Christmas with their immediate family this year. The couple, both aged 41, plans to take their children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – for a traditional walk at Sandringham Estate and attend mass at St Mary Magdalene on Christmas Day. The insiders reveal that the couple desires a break with their kids, especially after a challenging year.
Traditionally involved in charity work, William and Kate will continue this practice during the holidays by visiting a shelter for the unhoused, ensuring that charitable activities are part of their Christmas routine. Additionally, after the festive season, the family intends to take a vacation somewhere within the commonwealth, focusing on relaxing together.
However, the Christmas plans don’t extend to William’s brother, Prince Harry, and his wife, Meghan Markle. The couple reportedly won’t be sending gifts or cards to Harry and Meghan, indicating an ongoing rift in their relationship. Royal reporter Omid Scobie previously noted in his book, “End Game,” that William feels blindsided by Harry and Meghan’s public remarks about the royal family and believes that Harry has been influenced negatively since leaving the U.K.
Despite the ongoing tensions, William and Kate appeared joyous as they attended the Together at Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey with their children, where the family was photographed enjoying the holiday spirit.
