The Vikings made the decision to sever running back Myles Gaskin’s contract public on Tuesday.
At Philadelphia, Gaskin took part in two special teams plays for the Vikings.
Although he participated in the game versus the Los Angeles Chargers, he was inactive in Week 3.
At the end of August, following roster cuts by all teams, Gaskin signed his first contract with Minnesota.
Then, in September, just before the start of Week 1, his contract was terminated, and he was added to the practice squad.
The action was taken a week after Minnesota acquired Cam Akers by exchanging a conditional pick with the Los Angeles Rams.
On its 53-player roster, Minnesota has Akers, Ty Chandler, and Alexander Mattison listed as running backs.
