New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas remains active for Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings, just days after his arrest in Kenner for an alleged altercation with a contractor near his home.
Thomas faced charges of simple battery and criminal mischief (both misdemeanors) after reportedly pushing the contractor and throwing a brick at the man’s truck, causing minimal damage. Despite the arrest, Thomas traveled with the team to Minnesota and was expected to play.
In 2023, Thomas, who has been injury-prone in recent seasons, has not missed a game, securing 38 catches for 439 yards and one touchdown in nine games.
The Saints’ inactive list for the game includes defensive end Isaiah Foskey (quad), running back Kendre Miller (ankle), guard Nick Saldiveri, quarterback Jake Haener, and tight end Jimmy Graham. However, fullback Adam Prentice, who missed a month with an MCL injury, has been activated from injured reserve.
This development comes as the Saints grapple with a challenging season and navigate off-field issues, with Michael Thomas being the second player arrested in Kenner within the past month, following wide receiver Chris Olave’s arrest on October 23 for suspected reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
