Despite the possibility of suffering harm, Jordan Love is embracing a leadership position with the Green Bay Packers.
Love rejects a request to slide after the quarterback completes a 24-yard run play, according to a story told by Packers coach Matt LaFleur on Monday. Love reportedly stated that he did not want to slide because he believed the Packers needed some “juice,” according to LaFleur.

The risk of Love’s mobility is one reason why most coaches don’t want their quarterback to take any more hits than absolutely necessary.
But in the end, if Love is set on playing that way, there is nothing the Packers can do. LaFleur had good reason to approve of it in this instance, but the actions of one rookie quarterback should serve as a warning in future instances.
