The Cowboys will play their first opportunity to bounce back from their lopsided loss to the 49ers last Sunday when they take on the Chargers in the Week 6 finale tonight.
Dallas’ offense in particular has come under scrutiny, but owner Jerry Jones still has faith in the team.
Jones acknowledged the Cowboys’ subpar performance in their 42-10 defeat during a regular appearance on 105.3 The Fan.
He had no cause to question Dak Prescott’s status as Dallas’ undisputed starter, however, or to consider removing play-calling duties from head coach Mike McCarthy after the performance.

The Cowboys’ attempt to get their offense back on track and the Chargers’ use of Kellen Moore as their offensive coordinator make Monday’s game noteworthy.
After serving as Dallas’ offensive coordinator for four years—during which time the team twice topped the league in scoring—the latter was fired this offseason. That choice made it possible for McCarthy to take on the role of play-caller, and so far he has had mixed success. The Cowboys have a potent rushing attack, which has helped them rank sixth in the league in points scored per game, but they struggle through the air, placing only 19th overall in terms of offense.
Despite this, Jones affirmed that no thought has been given to replacing McCarthy as the play-caller with the new offensive coordinator, Brian Schottenheimer.
That serves as the most recent vote of confidence for McCarthy, who for the past two years has routinely been questioned about the security of his job following postseason disappointments.
Jones is fully behind him and Prescott as they move forward.
