Iga Świątek has confirmed that she will soon appoint a new coach from outside Poland, marking a significant change in her team. This decision follows her split from long-time coach Tomasz Wiktorowski, under whom she achieved immense success, including four Grand Slam titles. Wiktorowski had been instrumental in Świątek’s rise to the top of the tennis world, particularly helping her dominate on clay courts. However, Świątek believes that now is the time for fresh insights to help her improve her game on other surfaces, like grass and hard courts.

 

As of now, her sparring partner Tomasz Moczek is temporarily assisting her during practice sessions, though the arrangement is not permanent. Names like Belgian coach Wim Fissett, known for his work with Naomi Osaka, have been mentioned as potential candidates for the role.
