Iga Swiatek opens up an early Christmas gift, turns out to be a surprise from Taylor Swift
Christmas came early for Iga Swiatek this year, as the Polish tennis player posted a video of her opening up a wonderful gift. It was a vinyl record of Taylor Swift’s ‘Midnights’ album and Iga Swiatek, being a massive fan of the popstar, absolutely loved the gift and her smile while posing with the record gave it all away pretty evidently.
During the 2023 French Open, Swiatek revealed how big a fan she is of the 12-time Grammy Award winner on her birthday. After beating Claire Liu in the second round of the Roland Garros, she revealed in the post-match conference that when she was a teenager; she listened to Taylor Swift to not feel bad
She also learned how to speak better English by listening to her songs. In fact, she also wrote “I’m feeling 22 #swiftie” on the camera after winning the match. It’s the lyrics of a famous Taylor Swift song, ‘22’.
When I was younger and kind of confused about life and when I was a teenager, when I listened to her, I didn’t feel alone. Also, I learned English by listening to her songs, so she was always kind of close to me.

Swiatek is on the entry list for the 2024 Australian Open and she will head into the tournament as the top seed. Alongside Coco Gauff and defending champion Aryna Sabalenka, she will be one of the absolute favorites to win the tournament. However, two-time Australian Open winner Naomi Osaka is also making her comeback in the 2024 Australian Open and she will be a formidable foe as well.
