Following their dramatic 18-17 triumph over the New Orleans Saints, the Green Bay Packers have a record of 2-1.
The Packers were down 17-0 at one point, in large part because of sloppy play and penalties on both sides of the ball.
The frequency with which Green Bay has received warnings for errors is a concern.

The Packers are ranked 31st out of 32 NFL teams by Team Rankings with 9.0 penalties per game.
The were flagged 11 times in their thrilling victory over New Orleans.
The NFL’s seventh-ranked Green Bay team averaged 5 point 2 penalties per game the previous season, which is a stark contrast to this year’s performance.

Additionally, the Packers are receiving more personal foul penalties this season, and the group appears to be engaging in more scrums with their opponents.
One the one hand, having a problem with penalties is to be expected from a young team—the Packers are the second-youngest in the NFL.
However, given the quantity of personal fouls being committed, it is unacceptable.

Quay Walker is one Green Bay Packers player who is conspicuously absent from the controversy.

This week, LaFleur was questioned about the amount of personal fouls and how obvious it was that Walker wasn’t a part of any rough plays this season.

Since you brought it up, I hadn’t given it much thought, LaFleur admitted.
“.

Walker’s season has gotten off to a great start. He has a touchdown-returning interception, two passes defended, and 28 total tackles, including 17 against the Atlanta Falcons in Week Two.

Walker will be the defensive captain and play a bigger role than he already does against the Detroit Lions on Thursday night because De’Vondre Campbell is injured.

Since his rookie year with the Green Bay Packers, Quay Walker has come a long way.

As many fans are aware, Walker was dismissed from not one, but two games last season for making aggressive contact with non-player personnel from opposing teams.
Walker needed to mature at that point, it was obvious.

Jaire Alexander showed Walker the art of meditation during the off-season.
Walker has improved his ability to control his anger through meditation and other therapies.

LaFleur hadn’t even given it a second thought because his transformation was so complete. The incidents from 2022 are things that the coach and the player have moved past and are no longer relevant.
