Novak Djokovic recently apologized to his Chinese fans after being escorted out of a Chinese airport without greeting them. Upon arriving in China for the Shanghai Masters, Djokovic was unaware that many fans had gathered to welcome him. Unfortunately, airport security led him through a different exit, preventing him from meeting his supporters. In a message shared later, Djokovic expressed his disappointment and explained that he had no knowledge of the fans waiting for him. He apologized sincerely, saying, “I’m so sorry, really sorry that we didn’t meet at the airport,” and promised to make it up by meeting them during the tournament

Djokovic’s visit marks his return to China after five years, and he emphasized how much he appreciates the support he has received from his Chinese fans over the years. As he prepares for his matches at the Shanghai Masters, he hopes to reconnect with his fanbase in the coming days
