Eagles Coach Brian Johnson Named Top Fit to Take Reins for Recent Super Bowl Winner

By | November 10, 2023

Eagles offensive coordinator Brian Johnson could be in line for a head coaching job in the near future, with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Commanders being two of the teams that could be interested in his services.

Johnson has been praised for his work with Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, as well as his previous experience working with Dak Prescott at Mississippi State. He is also having a great deal of success this season as Philly’s OC, with the Eagles currently ranked second in the NFL in scoring offense and third in yards per game.

The Eagles are familiar with losing coordinators, as they lost both of their coordinators after their successful 2022 campaign. However, they adjusted well, promoting Johnson to OC and adding Sean Desai to lead the defense. Desai is also doing a solid job with Philly’s ‘D,’ as the Eagles currently have the league’s best run defense and are allowing just over 21 points a game.

**Analysis:**

Johnson is a rising star in the coaching ranks, and it is no surprise that he is being mentioned as a potential head coach. He has a proven track record of success with quarterbacks, and he is having a great deal of success as the Eagles’ OC this season.

If Johnson does leave the Eagles for a head coaching job, it will be a loss for the team. However, the Eagles have shown that they are capable of adjusting to the loss of key coaches.
