According to recent Dallas Cowboys news, the team may trade for tight end Zach Ertz.
Dallas Cowboys fans are aware that the team needs help completing its roster, especially when it comes to playmakers with a focus on being a threat in the end zone. Zach Ertz of the Cardinals is listed as a potential trade target for the Cowboys in the most recent Cowboys rumors.
When the trade deadline comes around on October 31, 2023, it is yet to be seen whether the Cowboys’ record will be full of tricks or treats. Alex Ballentine of Bleacher Report identified three players who would be the best fit for Dallas in a potential trade, with Ertz standing out among the group.
Dallas might be able to find some consistency if they can play more 12 personnel (one running back, two tight ends), Ballentine wrote on October 11.
The Cowboys are sixth in EPA per play according to 33rd Team when they are using that personnel grouping, but they are only 22nd when using the 12 personnel.
Finding an experienced veteran to work with Ferguson could be a wise decision.
