As we’ve discussed numerous times, there aren’t many nuanced viewpoints about Coach Prime, whether they’re positive or negative.
Scott Salomon of Mike Farrell Sports took the latter to a new level when he claimed that Deion Sanders had “broken the spirit” of the 2022 Colorado football team with his controversial remarks about their “dead eyes” and wavering love of the game.
Salomon began by saying, “Would the players that he let go love to play for Coach Prime? Probably? Who wouldn’t? Unfortunately, due to the win-now mentality, those players will never know what it is like to play for the NFL H.
“(Coach Prime) cheated the system once he got to Colorado, and he did everything that he could do to break the spirits of players who gave their bodies for the Buffaloes in 2022 and fought and scratched.
They could have improved as players with a year of instruction from Prime and his staff.

Unlike Mike Farrell, the face of Salomon’s publication, who has become more moderate in his evaluation of Coach Prime’s Buffs, Salomon has made it a habit to criticize Sanders.
Football players from Colorado in 2022 experienced what most new-coach players experience.
It would be dishonest to portray Coach Prime as someone who engaged in unprecedented acts of violence and cruelty toward the 2022 Colorado football recruits he rejected from the 2023 team.
Although what happened to those children wasn’t ideal, it occurs every year across the nation at all levels.
Change is drastic when a team has a history of failure like the 2022 Buffs. The turnover was extreme, but it’s obvious that Sanders wanted to recruit his own players from Jackson State, FSU, and other places, and that plan has greatly rewarded him.
The 2022 team should be on the backs of very few people’s minds given the success CU has had this season.
The media backlash following Coach Prime’s well-known “jump in that portal” speech, however, has given the haters something to hang onto in any circumstance.
