BREAKING NEWS: Minnesota Vikings sign offensive tackle one day before Green Bay Packers game.

By | October 28, 2023

The Minnesota Vikings signed the offensive tackle a day before their scheduled Week 8 game against the Green Bay Packers. The Vikings have a variety of receivers dealing with injuries this week.

Justin Jefferson, the Vikings’ best offensive lineman, was injured a few weeks ago and was placed on reserve and is ineligible to play this week against the Packers. Jalen Naylor is listed as questionable against the Packers on Friday’s injury report with a groin injury.
The Vikings needed to add depth at wide receiver before Sunday’s game.
According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC, the Vikings signed wide receiver Trishton Jackson to their 53-man practice squad roster.

The Los Angeles Rams originally signed Jackson as a UDFA in 2020.
He will remain with the Vikings through the 2021 season.
Jackson caught a 7-yard pass in the Vikings’ Week 7 win over the San Francisco 49ers.
This is his only record this season.

Concerns about the Vikings’ depth at wide receiver will create an interesting matchup with significant injuries in the Packers’ secondary.
The Packers placed Eric Stokes and Darnell Savage on injured reserve earlier this week.
Star cornerback Jaire Alexander is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Vikings with a back injury.
