Aaron Rodgers Desperate To returned to Green Bay Packers next trading window Amid Missing Playoffs with Jets

By | December 25, 2023

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers may no longer be on the same side, however, the connection the two sides have is still as strong as ever. After missing the playoffs in 2023, the Jets are likely to retool during the 2024 off-season in an attempt to field a competitive team.

A report has indicated that the retooling may include luring a Packers legend to the New York Jets.

According to New York Jets Insider Paul Esden Jr:

Rich Cimini of ESPN listed several players that are worth watching as potential NEW Aaron Rodgers recruits to the Jets in 2024:

#Raiders WR Davante Adams
#Packers OT David Bakhtiari
#Packers RB Aaron Jones
#Packers RB AJ Dillon
#Packers G Jon Runyan
#Bears TE Robert Tonyan
Davante Adams and the Green Bay Packers parted ways two off-seasons ago. Since Adams indicated he was ready to move on to another team, that decision (mostly) rested with him. The decision, in part, was due to Adams’ lack of confidence in how long Aaron Rodgers would be playing football in Green Bay.

However, Derek Carr, the quarterback Adams wanted to play with in Las Vegas has since been released and is in New Orleans. The Raiders’ inability to field a competitive team could lead to Adams wanting another trade. Could his former quarterback lure him to New York?

The two certainly put the league on notice when they played together. In 108 games with Aaron Rodgers, Davante Adams had 622 catches for 7,590 yards and 69 touchdowns. That type of connection would be a warm welcome in New York after seeing their offense sputter all season long.
